The FUTURE STARS’ GRAND PREMIERE is an annual benefit event that was created in 2011 to contribute to the sustainability of the Société de la Place des Arts’ access-to-the-performing-arts and artistic creation programs. This unique event brings together businesspeople, philanthropists, and arts lovers from all backgrounds, while giving talented young artists a chance to perform on a prestigious stage.

As part of the evening’s Community component, the event also gives a few hundred people—including many young people—an opportunity to attend the performance free of charge. For many of them, this serves as an introduction to the cultural world of the performing arts, as they find themselves in the audience at Place des Arts through the generosity of our donors and sponsors.

Since it was established, the event has enabled the Fondation to raise close to $2M. The event has successively been held under the artistic direction of high-profile personalities, including Gregory Charles, Alain Lefebvre, Nathalie Choquette, Maestro Jean-François Rivest, Christopher Hall, and Angèle Dubeau.

The next edition of the Future Stars’ Grand Premiere will take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts.
